AC Motor Concept
An AC motor is a device that converts AC electrical energy into mechanical energy and is widely used in a variety of industrial and domestic applications. The basic principle of an AC motor is to utilize the magnetic field generated by the alternating current through the windings to interact with the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnets or induced currents on the rotor to produce the rotary motion of the rotor. According to the frequency and number of phases of the alternating current, AC motors can be categorized into single-phase AC motors and three-phase AC motors. According to whether the windings on the rotor are connected to an external power source, AC motors can be further divided into asynchronous AC motors and synchronous AC motors. Asynchronous AC motors are also known as induction motors, where the windings on the rotor are not connected to an external power source, but the current is induced by the magnetic field on the stator. Synchronous AC motors, also known as excitation motors, have windings on the rotor that are connected to an external DC power source to create a constant magnetic field. Asynchronous AC motors rotate at a different speed from the rotational speed of the magnetic field on the stator, with some slippage; synchronous AC motors rotate at the same speed as the magnetic field on the stator, with no slippage.
How to test AC motors:
Motor manufacturers need to test the performance of AC motors before the motor leaves the factory, the purpose is to check the state of its internal electrical and mechanical components, assess its performance and life, and prevent or eliminate malfunctions, and only if the test data meets the national standards or industry standards can the motor leave the factory.AIP has a mature AC motor testing technology, to provide customers with a customized AC motor testing program, the test items mainly include: AC withstand voltage, insulation resistance, turn-to-turn withstand voltage, DC resistance, no-load characteristics, low-voltage starting, blocking, steering, PG characteristics. 1. Connect the power supply, connect the air pipe
Connecting the power supply and connecting the air hose is an important part of the process of using the AC motor tester to open the AC motor test session.
2. Set the measurement range
Find qualified AC motor samples for data collection and set the qualified measurement range of AC motor according to the standard.

4. Analyze the test results
At the end of the testing process, the AC motor tester will output the results, and these parameters allow us to find out whether the motor is qualified or not in time, so as to ensure the quality of the AC motor before leaving the factory.
Testing AC motors needs to be operated in accordance with certain procedures. The test results need to be carefully observed during the testing process, and abnormalities need to be handled and analyzed in a timely manner.
