The latest implementation standard of national standard 12350 - GBT12350-2022 safety requirements for small power motors

The new national standard for motors GB/T12350-2022 "Safety Requirements for Small Power Motors" is applicable to the small power motors specified in GB/T 5171.1, and other similar motors can also be implemented by reference. The GB/T12350-2022 "Safety Requirements for Small Power Motors" standard will be officially implemented on November 1, 2022. The new standard GB/T12350-2022 "Safety Requirements for Small Power Motors" replaces GB/T 12350-2009 "Safety Requirements for Small Power Motors". Compared with GB/T 12350-2009, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

1. Deleted "This standard does not apply to control motors (such as servo motors, self-aligning machines, resolvers, tacho generators, induction phase shifters, etc.)" (see Chapter 1); 2. Deleted poor insulation materials contact test requirements (see 14.2.1 of the 2009 edition).

2. Added limit requirements for clearances for working voltages greater than 300 V (see 15.2).

3. Added the limit requirements for creepage distance when the working voltage range is ">630 and ≤800" (see 15.3).

4. Added limit requirements for thermal classification 200 (N grade) and 220 (R grade) for the temperature rise test (see 17.2.2.2).

5. Revised the requirements for the electric strength test, "For the insulation winding of the motor with a rated voltage below 100V, the test voltage (effective value) is 500V+2UN" (see 20.2.2, see 20.2.2 of the 2009 edition).

6. Added limit requirements for leakage current of electric motors for industrial use (see Chapters 21 and 22.2).

7. Modified the surge impulse withstand voltage test basis to GB/T 5171.1, GB/T 5171.21, and GB/T 5171.22 (see 26.2. See 26.2 of the 2009 edition).
