On April 15, 2022, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration issued Announcement No. 6 of 2022, "Announcement on Approving the Release of 245 Recommended National Standards and 2 National Standard Amendments such as "Sand for Construction" . The announcement list includes "Safety Requirements for Small Power Motors" (standard number: GB/T 12350-2022), which marks the official approval and release of the national standard and will be officially implemented on November 1, 2022.
According to the national standard revision plan issued by the National Standardization Administration, the national standard "Safety Requirements for Small Power Electric Motors" is reported by TC26 (National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rotating Electric Machines), and TC26SC1 (National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rotating Electric Machines) is implemented. The competent authority is China Electrical Equipment Industry Association.
The basic information of the newly revised "Safety Requirements for Small Power Motors" national standard is as follows:
Standard Number: GB/T 12350-2022 Release Date: 2022-04-15 Implementation Date: 2022-11-01 Replacement Standard Number: GB/T 12350-2009
With the development of the technical level of the industry, new product types continue to emerge in the low-power motor industry, resulting in some technical content of the original standard cannot fully meet the requirements of the new technology, which brings about various problems in the implementation of the standard, such as Withstand voltage problems of products of control line type, creepage distance and clearance requirements of high-voltage products, higher temperature resistance requirements, etc. In addition, GB/T 12350-2009 has some inconsistencies between the safety requirements for electric motors for household appliances and the standards for complete household appliances. This revision will make it more reasonable.
This revision focuses on solving the problem of coordination between the requirements of electric motors and home appliances, the original standard did not fully consider the requirements of type motors with control lines, and new technical requirements for the development of product technology that the standard lags behind. The release and implementation of the newly revised national standards will provide important support for promoting the quality improvement of my country's motor products and the high-quality development of the motor industry under the new situation.
