Dynamometer Testing Methods for Electric Motors

A dynamometer is a device used to test the performance of a motor, and by loading the motor and other tests, parameters such as power, torque, speed, efficiency, and T-N curves of the motor can be obtained. I. Dynamometer motor test preparation

Before conducting the test, it is necessary to make adequate preparations.

First of all, according to the motor to be tested choose the appropriate dynamometer, to ensure that it can meet the test requirements. Secondly, it is necessary to prepare the tools and equipment required for the test, such as motors, power supplies, sensors, and so on. In addition, it is also necessary to develop a detailed test plan, clear test objectives, test steps test time, and so on.

When installing the motor on the dynamometer, it is necessary to ensure that the motor is installed in the correct position and the connection cable is firm and reliable. Manual testing, on the other hand, requires manual operation of the dynamometer to test each motor one by one.

V. Analysis and processing of dynamometer test results

After testing the motor with the dynamometer, the dynamometer will automatically analyze and process the test results.

The dynamometer test system will automatically record the result data and curves of the tested motor, and calculate the performance parameters of each motor according to the built-in software. The parameters are compared and analyzed with the template parameters to compare the differences and patterns between different motors. The corresponding test results are derived to provide a basis for subsequent optimization and improvement.
